In 1971, Deltona changed seawall design to cap tie backs with thicker walls. The newer seawalls were built in Unit 7 along Whitehouse Court, Sunset Court, and part of Unit 8, Unit 9, and Unit 10. Then, Deltona stopped building seawalls for a few years when the economy slowed down.
